Wheat Puffs Recipe
Ingredients
| Milk | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Honey | 1/3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Salt | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Oil | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 2 packages active dry or 2 cakes compressed yeast | ||
| Wheat germ | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 2 c. whole-wheat flour | ||
Directions
GETTING READY
1) Soften the yeast in a little warm water.
MAKING
2) In a bowl with lukewarm milk add honey, salt, oil, softened yeast, wheat germ and stir in the flour, blend well.
3) Half fill the greased muffin moulds, keep aside to rise until double.
4) Bake in the oven at 375 Deg F for 20-25 min.
5) Fold in the desired flavor in the 1c finely grated cheddar cheese and bake further at 350 Deg F.
SERVING
6) Serve immediately.
