1/4 cup wheat germ

2. Sift the flour, baking powder, and salt into a bowl. Add 1/2 cup of the wheat germ. Using two knives, cut in the butter until it is well distributed.
3. Stir in water quickly but gently. Gather dough into a ball and put on a floured board. Roll to 1/2-inch thickness, sprinkle with the remaining wheat germ and continue to roll until the dough is wafer thin.
4. Cut with a 2-inch cutter. Put the wafers on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake for 15 minutes, or until golden.
