Wendy Peterson's Hoisin Baby Back Ribs Recipe
Ingredients
| Baby back ribs - 5 poudns | ||
| Ginger -2 -inch piece, sliced + 1 tsp freshly grated ginger | ||
| Sugar | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Ketchup | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Soy sauce | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Oyster sauce | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Hoisin sauce - 1/3 cup | ||
| Garlic | 1 Clove (5gm) | |
| Sake | 3 Tablespoon | |
| Cilantro for garnish | ||
Directions
MAKING
1. Separate the ribs from racks by cutting them. Take a large pot and fill it with water and add the individual ribs. Add ginger slices and boil gently for about an hour and half. Drain the ribs and spoon out ginger.
2. Take a bowl and combine soy sauce, sugar, ketchup, Hoisin sauce, oyster sauce, garlic, grated ginger and sake. Place the cooked ribs in this mixture and marinate it for about 4-5 hours by refrigerating.
3. Preheat the boiler and arrange the ribs in roasting pan and broil for about 15 minutes.
SERVING
4. Serve the Wendy Peterson'S Hoisin Baby Back Ribs after garnishing with a sprig of cilantro.
