Welsh Rabbit Recipe
Ingredients
| 1/2 cup Hellmann's or Best Foods Real Mayonnaise | ||
| All purpose flour | 3 Tablespoon | |
| Dry mustard | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Worcestershire sauce | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Beer | 3/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Shredded Cheddar cheese | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 8 slices whole wheat toast, halved diagonally | ||
| 3 large tomatoes, cut in 16 slices | ||
Directions
In 2-quart saucepan, stir together mayonnaise, flour, mustard, and Worcestershire sauce until well blended.
Stirring constantly, cook over low heat 1 minute.
Gradually stir in beer until smooth.
Stirring constantly, cook until thick; do not boil.
Stir in cheese until melted.
Arrange toast and tomato slices alternately on 4 plates; pour on sauce.
