Welsh Rabbit Recipe
Welsh Rabbit is a savory sauce. Welsh Rabbit gets its taste from milk mixed with cheese and flavored with beer. Welsh Rabbit is served as a side dish with many appetizers and main dish.
Ingredients
3 tablespoons milk
1 8 oz. jar pasteurized process cheese spread
1 teaspoon sharp prepared mustard
1 dash pepper
1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 cup light beer
12 slices white bread
Directions
Heat milk in a saucepan.
Mix in the cheese spread and stir until thoroughly blended.
Season with mustard, pepper and Worcestershire sauce.
Add beer gradually, stirring until well blended.
Heat mixture to serving temperature.
Place slices of buttered toast on a plate or in a bowl and cover with the cheese mixture.
