Ingredients

 Onion1/4 Cup (16 tbs), finley chopped
 Butter/Margarine4 Tablespoon
 Packed brown sugar2 Tablespoon
 Dry white wine1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Chicken broth1 Cup (16 tbs)
 Vinegar1 Teaspoon
 Salt1/2 Teaspoon
 Sauerkraut1 28 Ounce, drained
 1/2 cup coarsely shredded potato
 2 cups pared and thinly sliced tart or green apples

Directions

In 2-quart casserole, cook onion in butter at HIGH for 2 minutes, stirring once.
Stir in brown sugar; cook at HIGH for 1 minute or till sugar melts.
Add wine, chicken broth, vinegar, and salt.
Stir in kraut and potato.
Cook, covered, at MEDIUM (5) for 30 minutes.
Add apples.
Cook, covered, at MEDIUM (5) for 30 minutes more.
Drain.
