Wedding Cake Frosting Recipe
Ingredients
1 cup (2 sticks) butter or margarine
3/4 cup vegetable shortening
3 packages (1 pound each)
10X (confectioners' powdered) sugar, sifted
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup milk
3 tablespoons apricot brandy
3 tablespoons light corn syrup
1 tablespoon vanilla
Directions
1. Beat butter or margarine and shortening until soft in large bowl of electric mixer at medium speed. Beat in 10X sugar and salt until mixture is crumbly and all of the sugar has been added.
2. Add milk, brandy, corn syrup and vanilla. Beat until mixture is smooth and spreadable. (Keep every bowl of frosting covered with a dampened paper towel while frosting cake.)
