Watermelon Sherbet Recipe
Watermelon Sherbet has a lovely taste. Watermelon Sherbet gets its taste from watermelon mixed with gelatin and cream, flavored with lemon juice. Watermelon Sherbet is inspired by many food joints worldwide.
Ingredients
4 cups diced seeded watermelon
3/4 to 1 cup sugar
3 tablespoons lemon juice
Dash of salt
1 envelope unflavored gelatin
1/4 cup cold water
1 cup whipping cream
Directions
Combine watermelon, sugar, lemon juice, and salt in a large mixing bowl; refrigerate 30 minutes.
Spoon mixture into container of an electric blender; process until smooth.
Return to bowl.
Sprinkle gelatin over cold water in a saucepan; let stand 1 minute.
Cook over low heat until gelatin dissolves; add to watermelon mixture, stirring well.
Add whipping cream; beat at medium speed of electric mixer until fluffy.
Pour into freezer can of a 1 gallon hand turned or electric freezer.
Freeze according to manufacturer's instructions.
Mixture does not need ripening.
