Wassetta Recipe
Wassetta is a sumptuous meal in itself. I often make this for the weekend luncheons and its so tasty you might actually forget to have the other dishes. Try this brilliant recipe for Wassetta Rice.
Ingredients
| 2 lb. ground beef or hamburger | ||
| Salt | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Pepper | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Celery | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| Green peppers | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Onions | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| Tomato soup | 1 10 1/2 Ounce, condensed | |
| 1 10 1/2 oz. can condensed mushrooms soup | ||
| 1 8 oz. pkg. noodles | ||
| 1/2 lb. grated longhorn cheese | ||
Directions
Brown ground beef with salt, pepper, celery, green peppers and onions in skillet.
Add tomato and undiluted mushroom soup.
Simmer for 10 minutes.
Cook noodles according to directions on package; drain.
Mix ground beef, noodles and 1/4 cup of grated cheese together.
Pour into greased 10 x 12-inch baking pan.
Spread wih remaining grated cheese.
Bake for 20 to 25 minutes at 325 degrees.
Serve hot.
