Wassail Bowl With Fresh Spices Recipe
Ingredients
| Sugar | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Nutmeg | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Ginger | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Mace | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Whole Cloves | 8 | |
| Whole allspice - 8 | ||
| Cinnamon stick | 1 | |
| Dry sherry | 2 Quart | |
| Eggs | 6 Small, separated | |
| Brandy | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Directions
MAKING
1. In a slow cooker mix sugar, spices, and sherry.
2. Cover and cook on low for 1 hour. Stir in between.
3. In a bowl add egg yolks and brandy and whisk together.
4. Beat egg whites until soft peaks form.
5. Gently fold into the sherry mixture. Do not let the mixture boil.
SERVING
6. Serve warm.
