Wassail Beer Bowl Recipe
Ingredients
| 3 quarts hot beer | ||
| Powdered sugar | 1 pound | |
| 1 freshly grated whole nutmeg | ||
| Powdered ginger | 3/4 Teaspoon | |
| Dry sherry | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 4 or 5 thin slices seeded lemon | ||

Directions
Heat beer (do not boil) with sugar, nutmeg, ginger, sherry and lemon.
Bring almost to boiling point.
Remove from heat.
Taste for sweetening.
Pour into large heated bowl containing 6 slices of freshly made toast.
Serve as hot as possible in punch glasses.
