Directions

In medium bowl, cream butter, brown sugar, egg and orange peel.
In small bowl, combine whole wheat flour, soda, salt and cinnamon; blend into creamed mixture.
Stir in oats and 3/4 cup of the walnuts.
Shape into 1-inch balls, and place on lightly greased baking sheets.
Dip bottom of glass into granulated sugar and flatten cookies; sprinkle with remaining 1/2 cup walnuts.
Bake in preheated 350°F oven about 10 minutes or until lightly browned.
Cool slightly on baking sheet, then remove to wire racks to cool completely before storing.
