Walnut-Honey Loaf Recipe
Ingredients
| Honey | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Milk | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Sugar | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Flour | 2 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), sifted | |
| Soda | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Walnuts | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Shortening | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Egg | 1 |
Directions
Combine honey, milk and sugar in 3-quart saucepan; warm over medium heat, stirring constantly, just until sugar is dissolved.
Cool.
Add remaining ingredients; beat for 2 minutes or until blended.
Turn into well-greased, lightly floured loaf pan.
Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until bread tests done.
Cool for 15 minutes in pan.
Remove from pan; cool thoroughly on wire racks.
