Walnut Fudge Bread Pudding Recipe
Over the years I have mastered the art of making Walnut Fudge Bread Pudding which I was taught by my family elders. Best enjoyed as a Dessert this recipe was taught to me by a dear friend who also happens to be a great chef. The Canadian Walnut Fudge Bread Pudding is a delight to serve and enjoy. This Walnut Fudge Bread Pudding recipe is sure to sweep you off your feet!
Ingredients
1 1/2 Cups milk
3/4 cup sugar
1 pkg. (6 oz.) semisweet chocolate pieces
1 1/2 cups coarse dry breadcrumbs
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
1 egg
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Directions
Mix milk, sugar, chocolate pieces, and bread crumbs in the top of a double boiler.
Cook and stir over hot water until chocolate is melted and mixture is thick.
Remove from heat; stir in the butter.
Gradually add the egg (beaten with the salt) to the chocolate mixture, stirring constantly.
Mix in the walnuts.
Spoon mixture into 6 greased individual souffle dishes set in a shallow baking pan.
Place pan on oven rack.
Pour boiling water into pan to a depth of 1 inch.
Bake at 350°F about 50 minutes.
Remove puddings from water to a wire rack.
Cook and stir over hot water until chocolate is melted and mixture is thick.
Remove from heat; stir in the butter.

Mix in the walnuts.
