Chocolate & Walnut Macaroons Recipe
Walnut Macaroons has a supreme taste. Walnut Macaroons gets its taste from coconut prepared with flour and eggs, flavored with cinnamon. Walnut Macaroons is inspired by many bakeries around the world.
Ingredients
2 2/3 cups flaked coconut
1 1/4 cups coarsely chopped California walnuts
1/3 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt
4 egg whites
1 teaspoon grated lemon peel
2 (1-ounce) squares semisweet chocolate
Directions
Combine coconut, walnuts, flour, cinnamon and salt.
Add egg whites and lemon peel; mix well.
Drop teaspoonfuls of walnut mixture onto lightly greased baking sheets.
Bake in 325°F oven 20 minutes or until golden brown.
Remove from baking sheets immediately.
Place chocolate in microwavable bowl.
Microwave on HIGH (100% power) until melted, about 2 1/2 minutes; stir.
Dip macaroon bottoms in chocolate.
Place on waxed paper.
Let stand until chocolate is set.
Add egg whites and lemon peel; mix well.
