Walnut Crumb Apple Pie Recipe
|Flour||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Firmly packed light brown sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Acceptable margarine||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Unsalted dry roasted walnuts||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), chopped|
|Piecrust/1 9-inch pie shell, unbaked||1 (1 Recipe, Mrs. Park'S)|
|Baking soda||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Boiling water||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Light molasses||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Canned sliced apples||20 Ounce, drained (1 Can)|

In a small bowl, combine flour, sugar and spices.
Cut in margarine until mixture has a crumbly consistency.
Add nuts and mix well.
Turn half of mixture into unbaked pie shell.
In a large bowl, dissolve baking soda in boiling water.
Add molasses and apples.
Pour apple mixture on top of flour mixture in pie shell.
Cover with remaining flour mixture.
Place in oven on a cookie sheet and bake 40 minutes.
