Walnut Chicken Recipe
Ingredients
2 cups walnut halves
1 1/2 cups peanut or vegetable oil
1 tablespoon cornstarch
2 tablespoons water
2 teaspoons soy sauce
3 whole raw chicken breasts, cut into 3/4-inch cubes
1/2 cup chicken stock
Salt (optional)
Directions
Fry walnuts in hot oil, but don't brown.
Drain and reserve oil.
Combine cornstarch, water, and soy sauce.
Place 3 tablespoons of the hot oil in a skillet.
Saute chicken cubes until browned.
Add stock.
Cover.
Cook over high heat 5 minutes.
Stir in cornstarch mixture and stir until thickened.
Taste and add salt if needed.
Add walnuts.
