Directions

Beat egg till foamy; beat in sugar and vanilla.
Stir in flour, salt and soda.
Add walnuts.
Spread in well-greased 8" square pan; bake till crust has dull finish (25 to 30 minutes).
Bake at 325 degrees.
Cut into squares while still warm - about 16 2" squares.
Ready to eat within minutes These are quick cookies; best right out of oven.
