1/2 pint (1 cup) creamed cottage cheese
 
1 cup butter
 
2 cups flour
 
1/4 cup (4 tablespoons) butter, melted
 
3/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
 
3/4 cup finely chopped walnut meats

Directions

Blend cottage cheese and butter together with a fork.
Sift flour, measure, and sift again into the butter mixture, and blend until dough holds together.
Roll out on a lightly floured board until 1/8 inch thick.
Spread dough with melted butter, then sprinkle with brown sugar and nut meats.
Cut into triangles 3 inches wide at the base.
Beginning at the base of the triangle, roll dough into sticks.
Place on a greased baking sheet, with the point side on the bottom, and bake in a hot oven (400°) for 20 minutes, or until golden brown.
