Waldorf Salad Recipe

Preparing their favorite Waldorf Salad is a way of letting my family know that I love them. Best enjoyed as a Side Dish this recipe was taught to me by a dear friend who also happens to be a great chef. The Waldorf Salad is made with Fruits which is easy to procure from any grocery store. In my estimation, if one is a chef, one needs to have a personal recipe of Waldorf Salad, just like I do.

Ingredients

 
6 large dessert apples
 
1/2 teacup chopped celery
 
100 grams (4 oz.) chopped walnuts
 
1 teacup mayonnaise
 
1/2 teacup cream
 
1 teaspoon lemon juice
 
1 teaspoon sugar
 
1 head lettuce, salt to taste

Directions

Cut the apples into cubes.
Sprinkle the sugar, lemon juice and salt on the apple cubes. Add the celery and walnuts.
Mix the mayonnaise and cream and add to the apples.
Arrange the salad on a bed of lettuce leaves.
Serve chilled.
