Low Calorie Waldorf Salad Recipe
Ingredients
| 1/4 cup reduced-calorie mayonnaise | ||
| 1/4 cup reduced-fat sour cream | ||
| Milk fat | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Lemon juice | 6 Tablespoon | |
| Black pepper | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| 3 large Red Delicious apples, unpeeled | ||
| Boston lettuce | 4 Cup (16 tbs), mixed | |
| 4 stalks celery, chopped (2 cups) | ||
| 1/2 cup chopped walnuts, lightly toasted | ||
Directions
1. In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sour cream, milk, 3 tablespoons of the lemon juice, and the pepper until combined.
2. Cut the apples into quarters, then core and slice them lengthwise 1/8 inch thick. Place in a medium-size bowl and toss with the remaining 3 tablespoons of lemon juice.
3. Line a platter with the salad greens. Arrange the apples, celery, and walnuts on top, drizzling the dressing over them as you go. Serve as a first course.
