2 cups All Purpose Flour
1 teaspoon salt
2/3 cup shortening
5 to 6 tablespoons cold water
Directions
Combine flour and salt in mixing bowl.
Cut in shortening until mixture is the size of small peas.
Sprinkle water over mixture, stirring lightly with fork until dough is just moist enough to hold together.
Divide in half.
Form into balls.
Roll out one portion on floured surface to a circle 1 1/2 inches larger than inverted 9-inch pie pan.
Fit loosely into pan.
Pour Filling into pastry-lined pan.
Roll out remaining dough.
Cut slits for escape of steam.
Place top crust over Filling and trim 1/2 inch beyond rim of pan.
Seal edge by folding top crust under bottom crust.
Flute edge.
Bake at 400° for 15 minutes, then 350° for 45 minutes.
