Waffles Recipe
Waffles have an Uplifting taste. The flour and eggs gives the Waffles Grand taste. Must catch it
Ingredients
| Flour | 2 1/4 Cup (16 tbs), sifted | |
| Sugar | 1 1/2 Tablespoon | |
| Baking powder | 4 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 3/4 Teaspoon | |
| Eggs | 2 , beaten | |
| Milk | 2 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Vegetable shortening | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), melted | |
| Flaked coconut | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Orange peel | 1 Tablespoon, grated | |
| 1/4 cup diced unpared apple | ||
| Sugar | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Several dashes nutmeg | ||
| Pecans | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
Directions
Advance preparation: In bowl, combine flour, the 1 1/2 tablespoons sugar, the baking powder, and salt.
Combine eggs, milk, and melted vegetable shortening; stir into flour mixture just until dry ingredients are moistened. (Batter is thin.)
In bowl, combine coconut and orange peel; in another bowl, combine apple, the remaining 1 teaspoon sugar, and the nutmeg.
Pour batter onto preheated, pre seasoned* waffle baker just until grid surface is 2/3 covered.
Quickly top waffle batter with small amount of the coconut mixture, apple mixture, or the pecans, or bake waffles plain.
Waffles are done when the steam stops and lid lifts easily.
Wrap and freeze, if desired.
