Vodka And Pepper Pork Escalopes Recipe
Ingredients
4 pork escalopes
1/4 tsp (1 ml) salt
2 tbsp (30 ml) black pep percorns, crushed
1 tbsp (15 ml) butter
1/2 Cup (125 ml) mushrooms, finely sliced
3 tbsp (45 ml) vodka
1/3 Cup (80 ml) 35% cream
Directions
– Preheat oven to 300 °F (150 °C).
– Season pork with salt and coat with black crushed peppercorns.
– In a skillet, melt butter, sear pork on both sides, place in a serving dish and keep warm.
– Using the same skillet, saute mushrooms for approximately 3 minutes. Deglaze skillet with vodka, add cream, cook over low heat, and stir until mixture is smooth, without boiling.
– Pour sauce over pork escalopes.
