| 2 1/4 pound ham slice, cut 1 1/2" thick | ||
| 3/4 cup dry red wine, such as Beaujolais | ||
| Cornstarch | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Cold water | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Seedless grapes | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Directions
Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Sprinkle in sugar and ginger. Brown ham quickly on both sides, then remove from skillet.
Blend wine into butter mixture, cook and stir until boiling.
Combine cornstarch and water. Add to wine mixture and stir until boiling and thick.
Return ham to skillet. Cover and cook over low heat for 15 minutes. Add grapes and cook for 1- 2 minutes longer.
Transfer ham to warm serving platter. Spoon wine sauce and grapes on top.
