Vinaigrette Dressing And Croutons Recipe
Ingredients
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons vinegar
1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon coarsely ground pepper
1/4 cup chopped onion
1 1/4 cups vegetable oil
Croutons
Directions
Combine first 4 ingredients in a 1-quart glass measure.
Microwave at HIGH, uncovered, 4 to 5 minutes or until mixture boils and thickens, stirring once.
Cool slightly.
Pour into container of electric blender, add mustard, salt, pepper, and onion, process 30 seconds.
With blender running, slowly add oil.
Pour into desired containers.
Serve dressing with croutons over salad greens.
