Vermont Quartered Apples Recipe
Vermont quartered apples are made with tart apples along with maple sugar. Baked with a topping of maple sugar and butter mix, the vermont quartered apples make a delicious and soft dessert.
Ingredients
| Tart apples- 6, firm | ||
| Maple sugar | 4 Tablespoon, shaved | |
| Water | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Directions
GETTING READY
1.Start by preheating the oven to 375F degrees
2.Also pare, quarter and core the apples
MAKING
3.Place on an earthenware pie-plate
4.Mix the maple sugar, butter and boiling water and boil for 5 minutes.
5.Pour this sauce over the apples, place in a moderate oven and bake until the apples are soft.
6.Baste occasionally with the hot syrup.
7.This makes a delicious dessert
