Venison Steak Recipe
Venison Steak is a delicious meat preparation. The first time I prepared this dish, my husband who likes beef better fell in love with venison! Try this great Venison Steak recipe for yourself.
Ingredients
| Flour | 2 Tablespoon | |
| 1 1/2 to 2 lb. venison round steak | ||
| Shortening | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Water | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Onion | 1 , sliced | |
| Celery | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| Salt | To Taste | |
| Pepper | To Taste | |
Directions
Pound flour into meat with meat hammer or saucer edge until slightly flattened.
Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Heat shortening; brown meat on both sides in heavy skillet.
Add water, onion and celery.
Cover and simmer on top of stove about 1 hour and 30 minutes.
Add more water during cooking, if necessary.
Remove meat when done and thicken liquid with flour and water paste to make gravy.
