Venetian Calf Liver Recipe
Make Venetian Calf Liver! No other activity will relax you as much as this does. I never fail to eat Side Dish while dining out and this is the most common dish that I order. I cant believe you just have not tried my Venetian Calf Liver recipe, yet.
Ingredients
1 lb (500 g) calf liver
3 tbsp (50 mL) butter
2 cups (500 mL) onions, thinly sliced
1 tsp (5 mL) salt
1/4 tsp (1 mL) pepper
2 tbsp (30 mL) white wine or Madeira or lemon juice
1 tbsp (15 mL) parsley, minced
Directions
Slice the liver as thinly as possible, then cut it into strips.
Preheat a browning dish (Corning) 7 minutes at HIGH, and melt the butter in it without removing it from the oven.
Add the onions, mix and micro-wave 3 minutes at HIGH.
Add the salt and pepper.
Add the liver strips, stir.
Microwave 2 minutes at HIGH, stir and microwave another 2 minutes at HIGH.
Add the white or Madeira wine or the lemon juice, together with the parsley and microwave 1 minute at HIGH.
Stir and serve.
