Venetian Soup Recipe
Venetian Soup is a mouth watering appetizer recipe. I am sure this tasty and irresistible Venetian Soup will get you a lot of compliments!
Ingredients
1 celery root
2 to 3 slices of lemon
2 tbsp (30 mL) water
1/2 cup (125 mL) grated Swiss cheese
2 tbsp (30 mL) soft butter
Salt and pepper.to taste
Directions
€¢ Peel and slice the celery root as for Celery Root Nature.
€¢ Rub each slice with lemon, place in a microwave-safe dish. Add water.
€¢ Cover and microwave at HIGH 6 to 8 minutes or until just tender. Drain.
€¢ Make a layer of the cooked celery root in a serving dish.
€¢ Dot here and there with half the soft butter. Salt and pepper to taste. Sprinkle with half the grated Swiss cheese.
€¢ Top with remaining celery root and the rest of the cheese. Salt and pepper.
€¢ Set aside if you are not ready to serve, keeping it covered at room temperature.
€¢ To reheat, place dish in microwave 4 minutes at MEDIUM-HIGH when ready to serve
