Vegetarian Pita Sandwiches Recipe
Ingredients
| Garbanzo beans - 1 (16-ounce) can, drained | ||
| Romaine lettuce | 2 Cup (16 tbs), shredded | |
| Green onions | 2 | |
| Celery | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| Green pepper | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| Feta cheese | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), crumbled | |
| Italian reduced-calorie salad dressing - 1/2 cup | ||
| Ripe olives | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs), thinly sliced | |
| Whole wheat pita bread rounds - 4 (6-inch) | ||
Directions
MAKING
1) In a bowl, add all the topping ingredients.
2) Toss lightly and cover and refrigerate for several hours.
3) For the base, halve the bread rounds and add in the sandwich mix.
SERVING
4) Serve immediately with a side of ketchup.
