Vegetable Pulao Recipe
Vegetable Pulao has a mouth watering taste. The green chillies and curry leaves with coconut gives the Vegetable Pulao a two dimensional taste. Must catch it.
Ingredients
| 1 cup washed and soaked basmati rice for 30 minutes and drained | ||
| Oil | 2 Tablespoon | |
| 1/2 tsp. roasted cummin seeds | ||
| Onion | 1 , chopped | |
| Green chillies | 2 , finely chopped | |
| A few chopped curry leaves | ||
| Garlic | 10 Clove (5gm), crushed | |
| Ginger | 1 Inch, finely chopped | |
| Turmeric powder | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| 1/2 cup mixed | ||
| 1/4 cubed vegetables (eg. carrots, french beans, potatoes and turnips). | ||
| 1/2 cup shelled green peas | ||
| Hot water | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Coconut | 1 Tablespoon, grated | |
| Salt | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Garam masala powder | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| 1 tbsp. chopped coriander leaves | ||
Directions
In a deep large bowl mix together oil, cummin seeds, onion, chillies and curry leaves.
Microwave for 2 minutes.
Mix in garlic and ginger and microwave further for another 2 minutes.
Stir in turmeric powder, vegetables and green peas and further microwave for 2 minutes.
Mix in rice, hot water, coconut and salt and microwave for 20 minutes.
Let it stand for 5 minutes then sprinkle garam masala powder on top and fork it, to separate the grains of rice.
Microwave for 2 minutes.
Mix in garlic and ginger and microwave further for another 2 minutes.
Stir in turmeric powder, vegetables and green peas and further microwave for 2 minutes.
