Vegetable Chowder Recipe
The taste of this particular Vegetable Chowder recipe has occupied my senses so much that I hardly ever go for any other recipe of Vegetable Chowder. If you have a lot of Vegetable on hand then you know its time to make some Vegetable Chowder. This Vegetable Chowder as an Appetizer is a winner! Ingredients
1 large onion, chopped
3 tablespoons butter or margarine
1 package frozen corn (about 1 cup heavy)
1 package frozen baby lima beans
1 large potato, diced
1 cup water
2 teaspoons salt
Dash of pepper
3 cups milk
2 tablespoons cornstarch
Liberal sprinkling of parsley
Directions
Saute the onion in butter in cooker.
When onion is lightly tanned, add veg etables, 3/4 cup water, salt, and pepper.Close cover of cooker and put pressure control in place.
When pressure is reached and control jiggles, cook for 2 minutes.
Cool cooker at once under running water.
Remove pressure control and top.
Return to low flame.
Add milk to the vegetables; bring to a boil.
Mix the cornstarch with 1/4 cup water; add to the chowder.
Stir continuously for 1 more minute.
Serve chowder with hot rolls and a salad.
This will fill them up.
