Vegetable Skillet Recipe
Ingredients
4 tablespoons cooking oil or enough to film bottom of pan
3 cups chopped cabbage
1 cup chopped celery
1 cup chopped green pepper
1/2 cup chopped onion
2 cups chopped seeded tomatoes
1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil
Salt and fresh pepper to taste
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
Directions
Heat oil in a large skillet.
Add cabbage, celery, green pepper, onion, tomatoes, basil, salt, and pepper.
Mix well.
Cover.
Cook over medium heat for about 15 minutes or longer until cabbage is tender but crisp.
Remove from heat.
Sprinkle with cheese.
Toss 2 minutes to melt cheese.
