Vegetable Pizza with Oat Bran Crust Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 cup Quaker Oat Bran hot cereal, uncooked | ||
| All purpose flour | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Baking powder | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Skim milk | 3/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Vegetable oil | 3 Tablespoon | |
| 1 tablespoon Quaker Oat Bran hot cereal, uncooked | ||
| Tomato sauce | 1 Can (10oz) | |
| Mushrooms | 1 Cup (16 tbs), sliced | |
| 1 medium green, red or yellow bell pepper or combination, cut into rings | ||
| Onion | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| Part skim mozzarella cheese | 1 1/4 Cup (16 tbs), shredded | |
| 1/2 teaspoon oregano leaves or Italian seasoning, crushed | ||
Directions
Combine 1 cup oat bran, flour and baking powder.
Add milk and oil; mix well.
Let stand 10 minutes.
Heat oven to 425°F.
Lightly spray 12-inch round pizza pan with vegetable oil cooking spray or oil lightly.
Sprinkle with 1 tablespoon oat bran.
With lightly oiled fingers, pat dough out evenly; shape edge to form rim.
Bake 18 to 20 minutes.
Spread sauce evenly over partially baked crust.
Top with vegetables; sprinkle with cheese and oregano.
Bake an additional 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.
Cut into 8 wedges.
