Double Layer Chocolate Cake With Cherries Recipe Video
Check out this recipe for a vegan double layer carob/chocolate cake with cherries. Wheat free (kamut) is the base used for this cake but you can replace it with regular flour. It’s a delicious chocolate cake that uses no eggs and it turns out excellent.
Ingredients
3 cups kamut flour
2 tbsp baking powder
2 cups sugar
2/3 cup of cocoa/carob
1 cup oil
2 cups water (you can use 1 cup of cherry juice and 1 cup of water)
Canned cherries, 1 can
4 tsp vanilla
Directions
In a bowl mix all the dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, sugar, cocoa or carob) together.
Add in the oil and mix.
Preheat oven to 350 F.
Add in the water.
Add in the vanilla.
Mix well.
Pour batter into two separate baking dish or pans.
Bake at 350 F for 20-30 minutes.
Remove from oven.
Set aside to cool.
Assemble the cake by putting the cherries on the top of one cake and placing the other cake on top.

Hey, will try vegan chocolate cake very soon. can i use some other flour than kamut flour to make this vegan chocolate cake.

I never use eggs in my cakes, but I do add a lot of cream to it...Is it fine if I use cream in this chocolate cake as well...will try and let you know soon. Thanks :))
