Easy Vegan Chocolate Cake Recipe Video
Camilla Saulsbury demonstrates how to make a quick, easy, delicious and healthy vegan chocolate cake.
Ingredients
1 and a 1/2 cups of whole wheat pastry flour or all purpose cooking flour
1 cup of regular sugar
1/4 cup of natural cocoa powder or any unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp table salt
1/2 cup canola oil or canola oil
1 cup cool water
2 teaspoon vanilla extract
For topping:
1/2 cup semi sweet or bitter sweet chocolate chips
Directions
First blend the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt.
Then add Canola oil, cool water and vanilla extract and whisk up until the mixture turns into a smooth batter.
Pour the batter into a 9/9 inch square non stick cooking pan.
Top it with 1/2 cup semi sweet or bitter sweet chocolate chips.
You may touch the center with a tooth pick to make sure it is not gluey.
Put this in the oven at 350 degrees for 35 minutes.
Then remove from the oven and allow it to cool for 10-15 minutes.
Serve with ice-cream or whipped cream and enjoy!
