Veal Steaks With Honey Recipe

Ingredients

 
4 slices veal tenderloin (fillet)
 
Salt
 
Pepper
 
1/2 tsp powdered thyme
 
1 tbsp oil
 
1/4 cup white wine
 
2 celery sticks, washed and cut into very thin strips
 
1 very finely sliced onion
 
2 carrots, cut into very thin strips
 
2 tbsp honey
 
2 tbsp wine vinegar
 
2 tbsp butter

Directions

Heat a browning dish in the microwave oven for 6-8 minutes, following the manufacturer's instructions.
Sprinkle each side of the veal steaks with salt and pepper and a little of the thyme.
Pour the oil into the hot browning dish and shake the dish from side to side so that the base is covered.
Place the veal steaks in the dish for 40 seconds, then turn.
When they stop sizzling, transfer to a plate and set aside.
Pour the white wine into the browning dish and scrape up the meat sediments from the base until dissolved.
Add the vegetables and sprinkle with the remaining thyme.
Cover and microwave on HIGH for 6 minutes.
Season the vegetables with salt and pepper.
Make space for the steaks in the center of the browning dish.
Pour the honey over the steaks.
Cover and microwave on HIGH for 5 minutes.
