Veal Meat Loaf Recipe
I originally made this Veal Meat Loaf for my spouse but I can't stop eating it now! This Veal Meat Loaf is never going to fail as a Side Dish. A family favorite that is feasted upon every weekend, this Veal Meat Loaf recipe should not be missed!
Ingredients
1 1/2 lb (750 g) veal, ground
1 egg, lightly beaten
1/2 cup (125 mL) stale bread, crushed
1/3 cup (80 mL) chili sauce
1/2 cup (125 mL) onion, chopped fine
2 garlic cloves, chopped fine
1 tsp (5 mL) thyme or tarragon
Grated rind of one lemon
Salt and pepper to taste
1/4 tsp (1 mL) nutmeg or mace
Directions
In a bowl, mix together all the ingredients, ex-cept the nutmeg or mace.
When thoroughly mixed, pack into an 8 x 4-inch (20 x 10 cm) mold.
Sprinkle top with nutmeg or mace.
Cover with waxed paper.
Microwave 20 to 22 minutes at MEDIUM-HIGH.
When serving hot, let stand 10 minutes before serving.
To serve cold, cover well and refrigerate 12 hours before serving.
When thoroughly mixed, pack into an 8 x 4-inch (20 x 10 cm) mold.
