Veal Meatballs In Spicy Sauce Recipe
Ingredients
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
2 lbs. ground veal
1/4 cup dry bread crumbs
1 clove garlic, finely chopped
2 teaspoons prepared mustard
1/8 teaspoon white pepper
Sauce:
1 can (6 oz.) tomato paste
2/3 cup water
1/2 cup wine vinegar
1/4 cup lemon juice
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon chili powder
Directions
1. Place butter in 2-quart (12x7) glass baking dish.
2. Microwave on ROAST for about 1 1/2 minutes or until melted. Combine remaining ingredients, except Sauce ingredients, in medium mixing bowl. Shape into 18 (1-inch) balls and place in melted butter. Cover baking dish with plastic wrap.
3. Microwave on ROAST for 8 minutes. Drain and rearrange. Pour Sauce over meatballs. Recover and continue cooking on ROAST 8 to 10 minutes or until hot and center meatballs are no longer pink. Let stand, covered, 5 minutes before serving.
4. Sauce: Combine sauce ingredients in 4-cup glass measure; mix well.
