Veal Italiano Recipe
Ingredients
6 veal cutlets, pounded to 1/8 inch thickness
4 tablespoons butter or margarine (1/2 stick)
1/3 cup medium sherry
1/3 pound prosciutto, sliced thinly
1/3 pound provolone cheese, grated
Directions
1) Lightly brown the veal in melted butter over a medium flame. Place browned veal in a baking dish.
2) Add the sherry to the pan drippings, stir, and pour over the veal. Place prosciutto over the veal. Bake in a preheated oven for 5 to 7 minutes at 350 degrees.
3) Remove from oven and sprinkle the provolone over the veal. Bake 5 to 7 minutes longer, or until the cheese has melted.
