Ingredients

 Wheat1/2 pound, boiled
 Flour1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Water3 Quart
 Cinnamon
 Raisins1 Cup (16 tbs)
 Chopped nuts
 Sugar1 Cup (16 tbs)
 Pomegranate seeds

Directions

Add boiled wheat to water, bring to a boil, and boil until wheat puffs up.
Water should not be absorbed.
Add raisins and sugar.
Brown flour in roasting pan in oven, stirring occasionally.
When flour is golden, add to boiled wheat mixture, stirring well to moisten flour.
Shut off heat and let mixture stand.
Serve with cinnamon, nuts, and pomegranate seeds if desired.
If mixture becomes too thick, stir in a little water.
Varvara is eaten cold.
