 Water1 Cup (16 tbs)
 Sugar1/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 1 tablespoon cornstarch, dissolved in water to cover thoroughly
 Salt1/4 Teaspoon
 Butter1 1/2 Tablespoon
 Vanilla to taste

Directions

Mix water and sugar, let come to boil and boil for 2 to 3 minutes.
Add cornstarch mixture very slowly, beating constantly; when mixture begins to thicken remove at once.
Stir in butter, salt, and vanilla.
