Vanilla Fudge Recipe
Ingredients
| Granulated Sugar | 2 Pound | |
| Water | 1/2 Pint | |
| Sweetened condensed milk - 1 large tin | ||
| Butter | 2 Ounce | |
| Vanilla essence | 1 Teaspoon | |
Directions
MAKING
1. In a saucepan, measure sugar and water and allow sugar to dissolve over low flame; bring it up to a boil later
2. Add condensed milk and butter, allwo the butter to melt and then bring the whole mixture to a boil
3. Simmer gently until a drop of the hot syrup forms a soft ball when dropped in a saucer of cold water
4. Turn the heat off, allow to cool and mix in vanilla essence; beat with a wooden spoon till the mixture begins to thicken
5. Pour this mixture into a buttered, shalllow baking tin and then allow to set in a cool place
6. When set, mark the fudge into squares

7. When firm all through, break into squares and serve
