Vanilla Custard Filling Recipe
Ingredients
1/3 cup plus
1 tbsp. sugar
1/4 cup plus
1 tbsp. flour
Dash of salt
1 1/2 cups milk
2 egg yolks (or 1 whole egg), beaten
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla or other flavoring
Directions
Mix sugar, flour, and salt in saucepan.
Stir in milk.
Cook over medium heat, stirring until it boils.
Boil 1 min.
Remove from heat.
Stir a little over half of mixture into egg yolks.
Blend into hot mixture in saucepan.
Bring just to boil.
Cool and blend in vanilla.
Stir in milk.
