Directions

Cream first 3 ingredients.
Add vanilla and 1 teaspoon salt.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each.
Stir in flour; mix well.
Drop from teaspoon onto greased cookie sheet.
Flatten with floured glass.
Bake at 375° till edges are delicately browned, 8 to 10 minutes.
Remove immediately from cookie sheet to rack.
