Valentine Quiche without A Crust Recipe
Ingredients
| Butter/Margarine | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Fresh-bread cubes - 2 cups | ||
| Onion | 2 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| Ham | 1/2 Pound | |
| Swiss Cheese | 3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Eggs | 6 | |
| All-purpose flour - 2 tablespoons | ||
| Light cream or half-and-half - 3 cups | ||
| Salt | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Ground red pepper | 1 Dash | |
Directions
GETTING READY
1. Preheat the oven to 350F.
2. Lightly butter a 10-inch ceramic quiche dish or an 11-inch pie plate, using 1/2 teaspoon butter.
MAKING
3 On a baking sheet, spread bread cubes.
4 Place in oven.
5 Toast, stirring occasionally for about 5 minutes or, until lightly browned.
6 Spread the bottom of prepared dish with toasted bread cubes.
7 In a large skillet, melt the remaining 1/2 teaspoon butter.
8 Add in onion, and saute stirring occasionally, until golden for 3 to 5 minutes.
9 Using a 2-inch heart-shaped cookie cutter, cut 6 hearts from ham.
10 Set aside.
11 Coarsely chop the scraps of ham.
12 Sprinkle over bread in dish.
13 Layer onion and cheese over ham.

14 Serve at once.
