Urad Daal Recipe Video

Ingredients

 
1 cup of ural/maash daal
 
1/4 onion finely chopped
 
1 inch piece of ginger- chopped
 
1/2 cube chicken stock- optional
 
2 dried chillis
 
1/2 twig of curry leaves
 
Final Baghar
 
1/2 tsp zeera
 
green chilli slices
 
mint leaves
 
dried red chilli
 
coriander
 
piece of onion finely slices
 
1/2 twig of curry leaves

Directions

Soak dal in water. Add onions, ginger, oil, chicken stock, dried chilis and curry leaves.
Cover it with a plastic wrap and microwave it for 15 minutes.
Open the wrap and mix the dal. Mcrowave it for 3 more minutes.
Adjust salt and transfer into serving dish.
For final baghar heat oil, add cumin, onion, curry leaves, red chili and then the remaining ingredients.
Spread it over the daal. Serve hot.
