Upside Down Meat Pie Recipe

Ingredients
2 tbsp (30 ml) butter
1 onion, finely chopped
2 clips (500 ml) ground beef
10 oz (284 ml) canned tomato soup
Salt and pepper
Pastry
1 1/2 Cups (375 ml) Hour
1 tbsp (15 ml) baking powder
Pinch of salt
1 tsp (5 ml) paprika
1 tsp (5 ml) celery salt
1/4 Cup (60 ml) butter
1 Cup (250 ml) milk
Directions
– Preheat oven to 450 °F (230°C).
– In a skillet, melt butter, saute onion then add ground beef and saute for a few minutes.
– Fold tomato soup into meat mixture and heat to boiling, let simmer about 20 minutes, then remove from heat and set aside.
– In a large bowl, combine pastry ingredients until mixture is smooth and roll out pastry.
– Pour meat and tomato soup mixture into a pie plate and top with pastry crust.
– Cook in oven for 20 minutes.
– Turn out onto serving dish
