Tutti Frutti Candy Recipe
Ingredients
| Raisins | 1 pound | |
| Walnut meats- 3/4 pound | ||
| Dates | 1 pound | |
| Figs | 1 pound | |
| Prunes | 1/2 pound | |
| Confectioners' sugar- as required | ||
Directions
MAKING
1.Soak the prunes over night.
2.Steam until they are soft and remove stones.
3.Wash the figs, and steam them 20 minutes.
4.Wash the dates and remove the stones.
5.Put the fruit and nuts through a food-chopper.
6.Put confectioners' sugar on the board and with the hands work the fruit and nuts until well
blended
7.Roll to about one-quarter inch thick, using the sugar to dredge the board and rolling-pin.
8.Cut in any desired shape, roll in sugar, pack in layers in a tin box, using waxed paper between the layers.
SERVING
9.Serve with ice cream, if desired
